Seminar to promote peace and co-existence in Kurdistan

To promote peace and co-existence in Kurdistan region of Iraq the Kurdish human right organisation (kaska Sur) arranged a seminar in Duhok city on 20th September 2010.
The Seminar was to promote peace and encourage co-existence in north Iraq were diversities of different nationalities and ethnic minorities live together. Many different non -governmental organisations attended the seminar and some shared their experience and exchanged knowledge to create a better environment for communication between human right activists inside and outside of Kurdistan.
Chiman Rahimi, Kurdish director and human right activist was one of the speaker guests to the event told KurdishMedia.com: “In an attempt to promote peace and human right I was invited to Kurdistan to attend few seminars and gatherings as women and human right activists were gathering from all four parts of Kurdistan to mark the international Day of Peace on the 21st September 2010.”
Also present in the seminar were Lyla Zana winner of the Rafto peace prize and the well known Kurdish Judge his honour Mr. Rauf Rashid whom charged Saddam Hussein former Iraqi president when he was captured a prisoner by the Americans.
