Last veteran of Republic of Kurdistan passed away in London

Qadiri Dabakhi, known in the community as Mame Qale, was one of the veteran of the Republic of Kurdistan in Mahabd 1946, who passed away in London on Friday, the February 6th, 2009.

Mame Qale dedicated his entire life for the pursuant of the Kurdish cause and was one of the few founding members of Komaly jyanewey Kurd or Je Kaf – The Kurdish revival, and later on, he joined the Kurdistan Democratic Party - Iran.London was his exile for over decade.

The Faunal ceremony will be held at 12.30 at East London Mosque, following the service the burial will be at the Gardens of Peace Muslim Cemetery in Essex.

There will be a remembrance service in the following day Sunday the 15th February, 2009 at the Grosvenor Hotel (Victoria Tube Station) from 4.00 pm to 8.00 pm.
